Hi there !
I sincerely hope everyone is fine !
I need a quick help folks - I'm using an HP ENVY x360 laptop having model #15-u410nr.
The system takes a lot of time to boot up and delays even performing the basic tasks like opening a file.
Therefore, I need to add an SSD in it for transferring windows there.
But I'm not sure whether I can add M.2 SSD in it or I'll have to go for a standard 2.5'' SSD ?
Secondly, if M.2 can be installed, will it be NVME or SATA ?
Please guide !

Hi:
According to chapter 1 of the maintenance and service guide on your notebook's support page, your notebook does not have a M.2 slot to install a SSD.
HP ENVY x360 - 15-u410nr (ENERGY STAR) Manuals | HP® Customer Support
You will have to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.
That will provide a significant amount of performance improvement.
The specs for your notebook indicate that it comes with 6 GB of DDR3L memory.
HP ENVY 15-u410nr x360 Convertible PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
That is really not an efficient memory configuration because the memory is running in the lower performing single channel mode with mis matched memory capacities.
Since you have to open up the notebook to replace the hard drive, you may also want to remove the 2 GB memory chip and replace it with a 4 GB memory chip, so you have 8 GB of memory running in the higher performing dual channel mode.
