Did you install a genuine HP battery with part number L08934-2C2 or was it a compatible battery?
"Compatible" batteries are known to not always operate as expected.
Does the power LED light up when you connect the original power adapter that is connected to the mains household power?

No worries!
You stated that you bought the battery from the online HP store?
When was that?
It should have come with a one year warranty.
If the time since the installation has been more than a year, you will need to source a replacement without warranty support.

That bottom battery is not the correct battery for your laptop.
Take a close look and notice that the voltage is not the same as the original battery.
It is also not the correct part number.
