Hello All,
I'm just upgrading an old laptop I had kicking around from a few years ago...
all I've left to upgrade is the CPU. It currently has an AMD Sempron SI-42. I've read that I can upgrade to a Turion ZM-84 being the best processor for the socket, but now that I've installed it wont boot in fact the screen wont even light. so I've been through the normal process and checked RAM, BIOS etc, I have now reverted back to the Sempron with much regret.
Can someone confirm that it can either take the CPU I want it to take 'TMZM84DAM23GG' or if ill need to dial back to a something like a ZM-82. there's a few conflicting bits of info out there and I thought id stop by here where I'm more likely to get an accurate answer.
Many Thanks in advanced.
