my pavillionG6 wont boot up. its plugged in...I hit the power button and the led by the power cord IN on laptop lights up, the led  on the wireless key lights up, the fan turns on for just a moment then stops, and the led on the caps lock blinks then after a few its acts like its shut itself down but, and I cant remember exactly which key it was I hit,  but I was just dinking around when this happened and I pressed some key and then it tried to boot up again only to do the same thing as described above. is the motherboard dead???? gosh I hope not. any solutions,  diagnoses, etc. will be greatly appreciated. thank you, cody

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. As you've performed relevant troubleshooting steps and the issue persists.

I suggest you attempt a power drain. You can refer to this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01684768

 

Next try booting to BIOS. Shut down the Notebook and upon restarting keep tapping on F10 till you see the System Configuration ( BIOS )

 

If you are unable to boot to BIOS, please contact HP Support for Service Options

 

Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true and select your Country to get the Contact details for HP Support

well I tried those two things and still no boot, nothing but still the leds staying on and the cap lock led blinking. so does anybody know typically what this issue is? I've also put in different memory chips and a different hard drive and no difference. thanks, cody
