We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If the pen for your HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC (model 15-es0000) is not functioning properly, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Pen Battery and Connection
- Ensure that the pen is charged if it has a rechargeable battery, or replace the battery if it uses disposable ones.
- Verify that the pen is paired with your laptop through Bluetooth if it requires it.
2. Touchscreen Settings
- Verify that your touchscreen is enabled. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Pen and Touch, and ensure that Use your finger as an input device is checked.
3. Reinstall Pen Drivers
- Access Device Manager. You can do this by right-clicking on the Start Menu and selecting Device Manager.
- Look for Human Interface Devices and find the pen driver.
- Right-click on the driver and select Uninstall.
- Restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
4. Update or Rollback Drivers
- Check if there are any updates for the pen driver by right-clicking on it in Device Manager and selecting Update driver.
- If an update has recently been installed and the pen stopped working after this, consider rolling back the driver by selecting Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver.
5. Windows Update
- Ensure your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and click on Check for updates.
