Hi,

my battery lifetime is approx. 1,5 year? 

HP Spare 757661-001

 

1) is this normal?

2) do you have a solution?

When you purchased your new battery 1,5 years ago was it an HP origial???

Hi, Reo, very quick answer, Thank you.

 

yes it was HP spares got under a care pack contract (ended now) it is in fact the third! battery that dies since i got the laptop in 2015/07/13

HP check says that my battery is not concerned by the replacement program.

 

anyway the assistant battery test says that the battery is ok.

anyway the battery check is 13% since yesterday and the message is "Power supply is ON, NOT charging"

anyway, at start up, i can see a white spash message exolaining the the bettery do work correctly and must be replaced.

 

I shut down the computer - take a picture and come back later

I'm confused, no splash screen anymore

 

at start the batteyr indicates 0%, the power supply led do not light, the the battery indicates 12% ...

 

Bios test also 12%, and first cell = 0 mv

during Bios power supply test the light was on ...

 

now again; plugged, not charging.

Nice, ok, I did understood this already,

 

do you mean that it is normal? only 2 years lifetime

 

the 10 yeras old i3 HP Pavillon laptop still uses the first battery !!!

No answer at all, 

 

  • 10 years old battery still good on Hp pavillon 
  • 2 years on Probook 470 G2

is this normal please?
