I have an hp ENVY 17j140 us notebook when I run secondary and primary battery test it says the primary battery is not

I was wondering where do I find the primary battery

where is it in the machine because I replace the external 6 cell unit on the outside of my machine because it failed to accept any charging

primary battery is the large 6 cell battery. Are you getting a battery charging icon in Windows? Does the battery charge and run the laptop?

yes but when I run the battery test it states no battery reconnized

Then you need to replace the main battery.
