Yes you can do that but not worth the effort for .1 ghz bump, I say. It will take up to an A8-3520M which actually is the same clock speed but 4 cores and bumps the video up a bit. These AMD APUs are available dirt cheap like $10-15 and if you are going to do the surgery you might as well go for the gusto.
