Purchased as above on 14th august 2025 yet warrantee expires in 5 months or so. This is not encouraging me to purchase an extended warrantee or to have any confidence in HP even after having owned previously an HP Pavillion and later an HP Envy.
Can anyone out there please tell me how to get this warrantee date corrected. Or should I be contacting Amazon for advice

HP starts the warranty clock ticking the minute the PC leaves the assembly plant.
So the longer the time elapses from assembly date to the purchase date, the less time remains on the warranty.
Please contact HP customer service beginning at the link below and submit a support request to have the warranty start and end dates adjusted to the date you purchased the notebook.

You're very welcome.
I'm glad the warranty dispute form worked for you.
I usually don't post the link to it because too many folks have told me that it doesn't work--that they can't even enter any info and submit the form, so I recommend contacting HP from the support link.

I was in a similar position when I bought a laptop through Amazon. The warranty on HP's website often indicates the date that the laptop was shipped to the supply chain instead of the actual date of purchase. The most effective way to get it rectified is to **bleep** and share your Amazon invoice or confirmation of purchase. They typically update the warranty time frame when they have verified the purchase confirmation.
It's also a good idea to know the difference in time between the date of purchase and the date of expiration of the warranty yourself. I frequently utilize time calculator to quickly find out the number of days or months absent so I can describe the situation clearly to support.
In your situation, Amazon will most likely send you to HP So, reaching out for HP Support with your invoice will resolve the issue.
