Elitebook 840 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

As I known, My notebook elitebook 840 G5 has abilities for USB-C charging with USB-PD support dock.

For know, my dock is HP USB-C Dock G4, whose power adapter is 90W and also support USB-PD 3.0.

Once I connect the power adapter to the dock, and attach the dock to my notebook, my system popup

"For Full Performance, connect a higher capacity Power Adapter", which means the performance degraded if I using  HP USB-C Dock G4 as power source.

From my point of view, this should not happened since my notebook model listed in  Compatible products of HP USB-C Dock G4. http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=3FF69AA&opt=ABU&sel=ACC

This makes me unhappy, HP claimed things but didn't make it ture. Now I consider return the device if this problem can't be solved. The performance issue should be serious treated.

The popup means nothing more that what it actually states.  HP does not know your computing requirements, thus the statement is intended to let users know that higher capacity charging adapters are available and should be considered if demanding hardware or software  will be deployed.

My point is that popup should not appear because I am using HP notebooks and HP dock, all hardwares used are listed in competiable list. If win10's popup is normal, and the  question would be "why dock not provide the enough power to my notebook?", my notebook model actually listed in the competiable product list of the dock.
