HP Pavilion 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently

I've been getting a "plugged in, not charging" message on my Pavilion 15 whenever the battery reaches 84%. It doesn't go beyond 84%. I've tried the Hard reset, updated my BIOS, uninstall, reinstall and updated the Microsoft ACPI-compliant Control Method Battery driver, done Battery Calibration etc but to no avail. 84% is the highest my battery can charge at this point and it's really not nice. This laptop isn't even upto a year old and I'm having such issues.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please run a Battery Test from F2 Diagnostic to confirm the Hardware Functionality

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Power > Battery

Let me know how it goes 😊

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Solution Accepted" on this Post and it will also help other community members with similar issue.
