I want to upgrade my hp notebook 15-ay542tu ram from 4gb to 8gb. But, i am confused with the compatible ram for my laptop. There are so many options on internet which makes me more confuse about which ram type will work for me.

Can anybody tell which ram (non-ECC ?, DDR4 2400 ?) i should go for ?

Hi:

Your notebook uses DDR4 memory, non-ecc.

2133 MHz is hard to find, so use 2400 MHz memory.  It will automatically bridge to 2133 MHz.

You may be able to get this memory in India.

Copy the memory part number you want.

Change the country flag at the top right of the page to India.

Click on the search window at the top of the page, and then paste the part number where indicated.
