@000bz , welcome to the Community.

 

According to Crucial Memory the maximum amount of memory supported is 8 GB: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-14-df0013ds

 

There is only one slot for the memory.  So, you will have to remove the current 4 GB to add the 1x8 GB.
