I have replaced my current drive with a Crucial T500 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 Internal Gaming SSD. I want to use the Crucial
Storage Executive to see the speed of my new drive and use Momentum to even give it more speed but I get a message,"mtinvme240346F074". This operation is not supported with intel RST driver. I downloaded the micron NVMe drivem from Crucial and it is showing in my device manager. NVMe CT2000T500SSD8. This is the information I got from Crucial but it is way over my head?
"Please confirm if you have replaced the IRST drivers with Micron drivers?
Like mentioned in the previous emails momentum cache and the Intel RST does the same function and enhances the system performance. If there is Intel RST in the system then enabling the momentum cache is not required since both of them have the same function and also in case you try to enable it, it won't get enabled.
So you will have to disable the IRST and install Micron drivers. This is a link to download the Micron driver:

If momentum Cache is not active, please try uninstalling Crucial Storage Executive and deleting all its related folders from Program Files. Then reinstall and see if it solves the issue.
For activating can try to update your system chipset drivers and change between OS and hardware SATA/NVMe drivers, but please note that making these changes is done at a your own risk, and features like RAID or Intel Rapid Storage Technology (when configured for RAID or Optane support) may become unusable changing these drivers, and the benefits they provide may be better for performance than Momentum Cache. When you boot into your BIOS or UEFI and check for a setting called SATA Configuration or SATA Mode and confirm this is set to AHCI, not RAID or IDE. If you are set to RAID mode but do not actually have any drives RAIDed together, search online for “how to change from RAID to AHCI” to find methods for adjusting this without causing system instability. AHCI mode will give you the best performance possible with a Crucial SSD and enhance Windows and Crucial Storage Executive features. Once you are set to AHCI, or if your system was already set to this, visit your system or motherboard manufacturer’s website to apply any current drivers (usually in a Support or Drivers section) for your system or motherboard’s model number. Drivers most impacting features in Storage Executive are the chipset and SATA drivers, so these would be a good place to start updating. An uninstall and reinstallation of Storage Executive may also be required after this driver change is complete. Also, note that Momentum cache is not supported for RAID arrays.
You should not use Momentum Cache with other RAM caching solutions. Due to shared system resources of these types of applications, there is a possibility that the system could experience instability or one or more conflicting tools preventing the others from functioning.
Please note that Momentum Cache only works on one drive at a time. An abrupt loss of power using Momentum Cache carries some risk of data loss and file corruption. To prevent this, in a laptop Momentum Cache will automatically disable itself when the battery level on a laptop has gone down to 25%. You can check the link below for more knowledge:
