Tried the systems fast and extensive test and both failed at the DST level. All other levels passed.

Hi:

 

Unfortunately, all that code translates to is one word...Failed.

 

Normally when you get any 24 character hard drive failure code, it means that you will need to replace the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

 

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

After you replace the hard drive, you can reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook by making a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool.

 

Here is an info link for how to use that utility.   You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive and another working Windows PC for this.
