screen part numbers that would work with 17-cn2165cl laptop

I have a question regarding the replacement HP product number for my laptop touch screen. It is a 17-cn2165cl which is out of warranty which seems to make it impossible for me to access any information that would help. The web help available seems to give me a service manual that names one and only one product number for this notebook M50441-001. I find it hard to believe that this is the only notebook that uses this screen and there is no information that tells those of us who have a expired warranty anything further. I wish to know what screen I could buy to replace the one in this laptop that would function with the touch digitizer installed in this model which is not damaged. The touch screen used in the unit has a resolution 1600 x 900 and the non touch screen listed in the service manual is a FHD screen. It does not tell me if that screen is suitable to replace the lcd that is cracked in the laptop, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

According to the parts list for your notebook that is the correct part number.

HP does not sell the display panel so the only suggestion I can offer would be to do a search by the HP part number on Amazon, or eBay.

You can also contact HP's list of authorized parts suppliers at the link below to see if they can help you find the display panel part number you need.

That would be the only part number you can use.

I see there seem to be quite a few that use that touch screen assembly. My issue is that I am trying to purchase a screen that is called out as from a  17-cn3165cl laptop to replace my broken screed in a 17-cn2165cl laptop but i do not have the product number of the 17-cn3165cl to verify if it will work in my laptop. Can you verify  the fit or tell me how to do it on the parts surfer site? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I used the product number for your specific 17-cn2165cl model PC, 6P0H3UA to arrive at the first link I posted.to find the screen part number you need.

I did install the screen and it works beautifully in my 17-cn2165cl model. I was going to try and replace the LCD of the combined unit in the laptop but was not sure if that was possible without specialized equipment. If anyone here knows if it is possible please chime in here, I may still try to repair the old screen that I took out if it is possible. Thanks for the assistance Paul.
