HP Notebook - 15-ba055nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I start my notebook and the hp control program tell me that I have a problem with the storage. I run the short dst test and shows me this failure code: 0LNG04-8M5B20-XD7X7A-60SS03. I tryed a w10 recovery but it takes too long. What happened and what can i do? I have to buy another hdd and change the one on my notebook?

Sorry for my english

Thanks, blckdrgn .

Sadly to say: Most of the time the 24 char disk failure id indicates the HDD is failing and it needs to be replaced. Is it still under warranty ? If NOT, you have to replace yourself then rebuild your machine.

For (original) Windows 10. Please use

to rebuild your machine.

Hi Banhein,

thanks for you're answer. No, the product is no longer under warranty.

Just to be clear, if I change the hard disk, I do the procedure you pointed out to me and it reinstalls windows 10 on the new drive, is that correct?

Thank you, blckdrgn.
