I'd appreciate any help with how to get the integrated microphone functioning in my EliteBook 2740P. The microphone is enabled in BIOS. I've rescanned for hardware but nothing new was detected. Below are the devices shown in Windows Sound and Device Manager. With gain turned to maximum, the listed "microphone" shows no signal in several applications I've tried. I suspect the "microphone" device listed is actually the microphone input on the sound card and the integrated microphone is totally missing as a listed device. Help!

follow-up: A friend has the same laptop, but running under Windows 10. He has the device "Integrated Microphone Array" listed, which is totally missing for me. Any idea how to get that device installed on Windows 7?

I solved the issue by installing the audio driver from HP site: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48001-48500/sp48147.exe
Now, the microphone array shows up as a sound recording device and sound level can be seen following my speech.
