Another thought would be to take your one good strip and cut it into 4 equal lengths.  Then place some 3M double stick tape in the four edges of the slots that the rubber sticks into.  Finally, place the equal length rubber pieces onto the double stick tape.  You would have two rows that would schematically look like the following:

 

XXXXXOOOOOOOOOOXXXXX

 

The places marked by XXXXX represent the areas where 1/4 of the existing rubber strip has been attached to underlying 3M Scotch brand Permanent double sided tape.  There would not be anything in the area marked OOOOOOOOOO.

 

Be careful with the single edge razor! And do store the tape nearby for the next fix!
