Hi @linuxinet,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you have received a message indicating that the SSD drive health on your HP Victus laptop is degraded and reliability is compromised, it means that there is a potential issue with the solid-state drive (SSD) installed in your laptop. The SSD is a storage device that uses flash memory to store data and is generally more reliable than traditional hard disk drives (HDDs). However, like any electronic component, SSDs can experience failures or degrade over time.

When an SSD's health is degraded, it typically implies that there are problems with the drive that could potentially lead to data loss or other issues. Some common causes of SSD degradation include excessive wear due to high usage, manufacturing defects, or other hardware/software-related problems.

To address this issue, you can take the following steps.

  • Backup your data: Prioritize backing up any important files or data on your SSD to prevent potential loss if the drive fails completely.
  • Run diagnostic tests: HP support may ask you to run diagnostic tests to identify any underlying issues. These tests can help determine the extent of the problem and guide further troubleshooting steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
