Hi Experts,
Can you please advise me if i can use Samsung 860 QVO 1 TB SSD to replace my laptop (HP Compaq Pavilion 14-ab116us)'s current 1 TB Hard drive? Also, can you please share a guide, if available, on how to physically open the laptop and upgrade the SSD.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can use Samsung 860 EVO SSD to replace existing HDD also the use popular supplier: Crucial. I can't find the speca of your machine therefore I don't know it has Intel or AMD processor. Please use the right Maintenance and Service Guide manuals on the following link:
https://support.hp.com/au-en/product/hp-pavilion-14-ab100-notebook-pc-series/8499300/manuals
Chapter 6 of the manual shows you how to replace HDD.
Regards.

Thanks BH for your resposne. I replaced to the Samsung SSD. The computer booting and file opening performance improved a lot. But I am now having a new problem. I am not able to connect to my wifi networks even with my correct password. So, I am seeing the wireless networks but not able to join.Tried several times and used the trouble shooter but no result. I am able to connect to internet using my LAN network cable. I also noticed that there was a small with coming from the laptop display panel with a number 1 written on it but it is not connected to any where. Not sure, what was that meant for.
Will appreciate if I can get some advise to fix the wifi issue .
Thanks,
Dusbaba
