HP Pavilion G6 2153ev
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Hello to the community, i have a HP pavilion 2153ev (with Windows 8.1 pro if it matters) , i have the laptop for about a year now, and the only thing i have done to it , is to upgrade the ram from 4 gb to 8gb.

Recently  i decided that it is time to put an ssd to the laptop , to make it even faster . I stabbled upon the  SSD PLEXTOR PX-256M8PEG 256GB M.2 2280 PCIE GEN 3X4 NVME , which i ve seen is a very fast ssd and for a good price i think . I know that my laptop is not near the m2 technology , i wanted to ask if its possible to put this ssd to the laptop , with adapter or something without its speed being downgraded .  If its not possible at all please tell me which one u think i should get , every opinion is highly appriciated .

Thanks

Hi,

Yes the compatible batteries will fit and will probably be cheaper than trying to find the original. Try getting quality battery and look for the mAH (the higher, the longer the charge will last).

Hi,

No you can't install that ssd because it is a PCIe SSD and your system will only support a 2.5" sata ssd which will still be 10-20 times faste than the regular hard drive in your laptop. You will have to replace your hard drive and either migrate an image to the ssd or reinstall windows on the ssd.

The best sata ssd by international computer magazines which take into account prize and performance are the Samsung 850 and the 850 Pro which you can find for good prize on online stores.

Hope it helps,

David

One more thing , i want to change the battery in my laptop , I have searched it's characteristics which I have read from the manual , but I can't seem to find one that says it's compatible with the HP Pavilion g6 2153 even. So i wanted to ask what should I look to understand that it is compatible . Do batteries that say they can fit the HP Pavilion g6 generally , can go to my laptop ?
