Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

I registered my hp pavilion g7 notebook in 2012 - received an acknowledgement but did not see verification of serial number - my computer was stolen and I would like to find out what the serial number is.

Just so they can confirm warranty status. If you make a warranty claim in the first year the first thing they do is register you. After that, registration does not do much for you. They are being very careful with serial number information as somehow fake support people have found serial numbers somewhere and are calling HP owners and scamming them. So there is just no way they are going to give out a serial number on a phone call or otherwise. We are not supposed to post them here, even.
