Work yes in that you can use both drives but you will not be able to boot from the mSATA. We can show you how to use the mSATA as an acceleration cache. These models originally came with very small 24 or 32 gig mSATA mSSD disks solely to use for acceleration. You can put a larger one in and use it for storage, however if you wish. You do not have to use the acceleration app.

I don't know that you are trying to do.  Any laptop with both an SSD and an HDD will use BOTH, not just one.  The SSD is used for booting and the OS; the HDD is used for secondary storage.  You can't use them both for the OS, if that is what you are trying to do.

Unfortunately, in such PCs, when stuff gets downloaded from the Internet, it defaults to storing that on the SSD -- causing that to fill up quickly.  So, if you are doing that, you need to go into your Browsers and change the default Download location to a folder on your HDD.

Thank for your replay

As you said, the SSD is used for booting and the OS; the HDD is used for secondary storage. this is what I want to do.

however, after I install the internal HDD. my laptop can not boot from the SDD. it will go to recovery mode.

I think the problem is the BIOS does not know where the operating system.

another note my laptop work find with one SSD. but can not work with internal SSD and internal HDD. why ??

I hope this make sense  to you.

I can be more specific. That model uses a legacy storage system. The SSD (actually mSATA mSSD; older type hardware) is only for use as an acceleration cache with Intel Rapid Storage software joining it to the HDD. If the mSSD is the ONLY disk in the system, you can boot from it. If a HDD is also installed, you cannot. I used to own one of these and when these models were current, we had a lot of traffic on it so I am fully familiar with the issues. So the best option on this model series is a SATA 2.5 inch SSD.

I understand from you that my laptop does not  support installing two different type of internal hard drive, mSATA mSSD and HDD, because the BIOS does not supported.

If I install internal mSATA and internal SATA 2.5 inch SSD. is it going to work.
