Hi, I want to know that when can i change the thermal paste of my laptop it gets hot very quickly and my laptop is 3 years old. during cleaning i notice some burnt like brown color in the heat sink the covers the processor.

It is still a good temperature, but if you already removed the heat sink to see the thermal paste, then you should already make the change, you can't leave the thermal paste on as long as you remove the heat sink.

Depending on use, it is generally recommended to replace the thermal paste after 1 year of use.

My laptop is a U series. when idle it stays between 43 to 55 degree Celsius but when used it stays between 55 to 65 degree Celsius often reaching 75
