Hi @huiqi,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing a few issues with your HP Pavilion Plus 14 14-inch laptop PC. Let's address them one by one:

Touchpad Issue

Driver Update: Ensure that your touchpad drivers are up to date.

  • Go to the Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting "Device Manager."
  • Find "Mice and other pointing devices" and expand it.
  • Right-click on your touchpad and select "Update driver."
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."

Windows Update: Make sure your Windows operating system is fully updated.

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click "Check for updates" and install any available updates.

Touchpad Settings: Adjust touchpad settings to see if it resolves the issue.

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
  • Try changing the sensitivity and other touchpad options.

Zoom Screen Flicker and Split Screen Issue

Update Zoom: Make sure you are using the latest version of Zoom.

  • Open Zoom and click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
  • Select "Check for Updates" and install any available updates.

Graphics Driver Update: Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date.

  • Go to the Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting "Device Manager."
  • Find "Display adapters" and expand it.
  • Right-click on your graphics card and select "Update driver."
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."

Disable Hardware Acceleration:

  • Open Zoom and go to Settings by clicking on your profile picture and selecting "Settings."
  • Navigate to the "Video" tab.
  • Scroll down and disable "Enable hardware acceleration for receiving video" and "Enable hardware acceleration for sending video."

Adjust Display Settings:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings."
  • Try changing the resolution and scaling to see if it resolves the flickering issue.

Test with External Monitor: Connect your laptop to an external monitor to see if the issue persists. This can help determine the problem with the laptop screen or the graphics card.

I have tried it but the screen still flickers when I turn the power on or off.
