I am trying to understand why my game im playing is saying my tpm 2.0 isnt up to date but i have seen on the run module for tpm.msc its ready for use and it shows i have it available. Also i have secure boot enabled as well and from what im aware of windows 11 requires this as well and my windows is up to date. Any ideas or help would be appreciated

Hi @ChrisFORbo6,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand you’re playing a game on your HP Pavilion Gaming TG01-0023w, and it’s reporting that TPM 2.0 isn’t up to date, even though tpm.msc shows TPM is available and ready for use, and you already have Secure Boot enabled with Windows 11 fully updated.
Here’s what you can try to resolve this:
Confirm TPM details
Press Windows + R, type tpm.msc, and check the Manufacturer Version.
Some games (like Call of Duty) reject AMD TPM firmware versions ending in .0.x (e.g., 3.84.0.5) because they fail attestation, even if Windows says it’s fine.
Update BIOS/Firmware
Go to HP’s support page for your model and look for any BIOS updates.
Install the latest BIOS, as TPM firmware updates are often bundled inside.
Enable Firmware TPM (fTPM) in BIOS
Restart your PC and press Esc → F10 to open BIOS.
Under Advanced → Security / Trusted Computing, ensure fTPM (AMD) or PTT (Intel) is enabled.
Save changes and reboot.
Clear and reinitialize TPM (⚠️ this resets TPM keys, so back up BitLocker recovery keys if enabled)
Open Settings → Update & Security → Windows Security → Device Security → Security processor → Security processor troubleshooting → Clear TPM.
Reboot when prompted.
I hope this helps.
