What model processor does your notebook have?
The only way 2 x 8 GB of memory would be supported would be if your notebook has an intel 1st generation quad core processor.
If your notebook has an older processor or an Intel 1st Gen dual core processor, the maximum memory supported is 2 x 4 GB.
You cannot use DDR3L-1600 MHz memory in your notebook.
You cannot use any memory faster than DDR3-1333 (PC3-10600).
It has to be dual rank (2R x8) which means it should have 8 little black memory chips on each side of the circuit board, not 4.
Something like this for the 4 GB memory chip.

Hello, Paul. I found this on Amazon, as well. Looks to be exactly what I need. It notes that it's for HP products. Your thoughts, please. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with me. Tom7482

Hi:
Yes, I agree that the HP VH641AT 4-GB DDR3 should work too.
I found some additional specs on it at the link below:

Hello, Paul. Took your advice and got the TimeTec memory. Works well, Thank you. I did have to boot it twice to get past the blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner. Sped it up the same as when I installed an SSD. I have checked on line and see that I can not upgrade the CPU. Do you agree? Thank you, Paul. Tom Wake

You're very welcome, Tom.
Glad the memory worked for you.
The processors in that model series are removable, and may be able to be upgraded.
But in order to answer your question I need to know the exact model of your notebook's processor, so I can check the service manual and see if there is a better one available that was supported in the model series.
