@Rakesh_21 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to use the Synaptics touchpad.

To resolve this issue, perform the following procedures:

Procedure 1: Confirm the Synaptics driver is 19.5.35.41 (or later).

  1. Open Device Manager.

  2. Scroll down and expand Mice and other pointing devices > Synaptics Touchpad.

  3. Right-click on Synaptics Touchpad and select Properties.

  4. Select the Driver tab.

  5. Confirm the Synaptics driver is 19.5.35.41 (or later).

    Synaptics Touchpad in Device Manager.

Procedure 2: If the driver version is not the latest, go to HP Customer Support - Products.

  1. Enter your HP computer product name and model number.

  2. Click Find.

  3. Select Software and Driver Downloads.

  4. Expand Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices.

  5. Download and install the latest Synaptics Touchpad driver (a restart may be required).

Procedure 3: Customize touchpad settings:

  1. Open the Synaptics TouchPad app once the driver installation is complete.

I understand your concerns.

There is no separate software.

When you install the drivers the software will install automatically. Please try to install the drivers.

Hi @praveen_196,

Thanks for the file, I will download and try it. Meanwhile, I need your help on rebooting my laptop.

since 2 days when I start my laptop on next day, it does not start normally, it starts in black n white screen then I need to go to BIOS setting F9, enable the legacy support and start my laptop.

is there a way to prevent legacy support being disabled daily?

also I noticed that when I start my laptop after enabling legacy support, the time it starts from 12 AM, whereas in India actual time is around 9.45 - 10 AM.

then I go to adjust time date setting, disable then enable automatic time setting and it picks up correct time after that.

Update the Bios, chipset using HP Support Assistant.

Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
