After OS mouse and touchpad started working started working erratically or not at all. I tried wired and wireless mice and the touchpad is virtually non existent. 2 Microsoft techs pointed out the problem and referred me to HP. The how to is what I cannot find. I do know its an exact science. Ca someone provide the steps for me?

1. Steps for what? The title says BIOS but not mentioned in post. 2. We need your exact model number regardless. Part of the "exact science".

I have an HP 15 NOTEBOOK with a product number F9H60U858. After a series of update failures I contacted Microsoft especially when after an update attempt i lost use of the touch pad and mouse wired and wireless. After remotely accessing my computer two the techs at different times said my bios needing an upgrade. They both claimed my computer bios was dated 2014 and should have been updated in 2018. I just want complete use of my computer. i have erratic use of the cursor. its taking me too much time to complete what ever I am doing because of the difficulty in locating the cursor and getting it to go where I want it to go.

F.49 Rev. A is the latest BIOS. Download this and run it following the prompts.

This BIOS was issued in 2018. I am not going to say this will necessarily fix your problem with the touchpad, etc. but worth a try.
