HP 14s-dq1508sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I recently purchased a HP Notebook 14s-dq1508sa. My query is can I use my old HP-2000 series laptop's RAM to upgrade this new laptop RAM, without violating the warranty ? if Yes, how and whom to contact.

Also can I use RAM of diffrent sizes? i.e. 4+8 or 8+16 like that.

Thanks

Rahul Verma

Hi:

Your old HP 2000 notebook uses DDR3 memory and your new notebook uses DDR4-2600 MHz memory.

DDR3 memory won't even fit in the memory slots in your notebook.

HP only has the service manual for the older model series listed.

It indicates that memory upgrades should be done by an authorized service center.
