Trying to resolve the slow performance by replacing the hard drive ( model number: WDC WD 10SPCX-60KHST0) of the mentioned laptop with a compatible 512 GB or 1T SSD. Looking for suggestions on whether it is doable and what SSD model to use. Many thanks!

You can always replace 2.5" mechanical HDD with a faster 2.5" SSD. In your case, you can replace 1TB WD HDD with 1TB 2.5" SSD from WD or Crucial or Samsung. My suggestions
