Hi,

Please use the following document to check RAM specs, part # and how to replace RAM:

    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04763999.pdf

You can also check the following vendor to get the right RAM. You can also buy from them or information to buy elsewhere.

Regards.

I ran the check upgrade and  they had no suggestions. I have used them before but they didnt have anything for this laptop.    Manual was helpful. Will open and see what the ram is inside laptop.

Thanks for the help.

I would love an answer to this also. I have ran the memory companies scanners and they come back with no results, HP has little to no info about this computer, and the manual link above covers multiple models and has nothing specific about this one.

Please advise, I want to upgrade my ram and I would like to do more than just add another stick of what came in the computer. Any info is appreciated.

Hynix 4GB 1600MHz PC3L-12800 DDR3L DIMM.... I have the same laptop. And this is the ram mine has in it. I do believe the PC supports up to 8GB of ram total. So you can only add one addional 4GB stick of 1600MHz PC3L-12800 DDR3L DIMM ram stick. And I do believe its a 204-PIN stick.

I purchased this model a few days ago and I installed the 8GB module from my previous laptop( model 15-g067cl). My total system memory  is now 12GB. I'm guessing that this model can recognize two 8GB modules for a total of 16GB.

I just installed 16gb ram in this HP 15-F387WM with -  G.SKILL F3-1600C9D-16GRSL -  Ripjaws Series 16GB (2 x 8G) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM.  When I went into the control panel it said. "Installed Memory (RAM):  16.0gb (14.9GB Usable.)"  Thanks to Gallvon for the tip.

I just upgraded mine. Max is 16GB and I got it at MemoryC, Inc. through Walmart. It was just under 80.00 for the two 8gb ram cards.
