i only have 4gb of ram and was going to upgrade it to 8gb but when i took the door off the bottem there is only 1 slot for the ram i wanted to know if there is a space that i dont see

Hi,
You're right, laptops with Pentium processor has a single socket, you have to replace 4 GB to 8 GB single module.

KVR16LS11/8 is not compatible because it Kingston ValueRAM
You need Kingston KTH-X3CL/8G because it is the equivalent of the original HP on the manual for your laptop (page 30)
