The model of my mainboard is 81F6. I want to know if my mainboard supports sata 3. Should i buy any tools beside ssd or will i be able to just plug it in and use? Is there any ssd model that you recommend? Thanks.

Hi:
Your notebook supports SATA 3 SSD's.
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
The supported drive types can be found in chapter 1, and the removal and replacement procedures can be found in chapter 6.
You will need assorted tools to take the notebook apart with.
The tools required can be found in chapter 4 on page 33.
There is a very good chance that since your notebook did not come with a M.2 SATA SSD from the factory, that there is no M.2 slot present.
The M.2 slot is an add on part. You can see the part number listed in chapter 3 of the manual.
So, if you were planning on adding a M.2 SSD and using it with the 500 GB hard drive, open up the notebook first and check to make sure the slot is there before buying a M.2 SATA SSD.
Otherwise, you can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.
I recommend the Western Digital Blue SATA SSD's. This is the 500 GB model.
Another excellent option is the Sandisk SSD Ultra, which is also made by Western Digital.
If your notebook does have a M.2 slot for a SSD, then this is the one I recommend...
