hi How can I use my SIM card on my laptop? Do I need to install a new hardware?

Hi:

 

Yes, you do.

 

In order to use the sim card, you need to also have the optional WWAN card.

 

Check chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual for the supported WWAN cards with their HP part numbers.

 

Before buying a WWAN card, make sure the WWAN card antennas are present where the card installs to.

 

You can only use one of the WWAN cards listed in the service manual, and it must have the HP part number on it, or the card will not work.
