Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (2V8Z6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello! I need help.IMG_20240212_160648.jpgIMG_20240212_160705.jpg
My Victus 16 is 1,5 years only, but recently I have noticed a damage in the right hinge casing.
My laptop has never suffered any physical damage, I have never dropped it or opened the lid with force, nothing that could inflict the damage. Nevertheless, only a couple of months after the warranty has expired I noticed the hinge problem.

From what I've seen already this is a frequent issue, however I haven't seen any solutions yet.
I am really disappointed with the damage itself popping up so early even though I've been really careful with the laptop; I also have no idea whether the damage will spread to the display eventually. It's very frustrating not being able to open or close your laptop.
I sincerely hope that a support agent will contact me and at least explain what is happening to my laptop, what to expect, what to do.

Hi @SergeiZ,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that this is a Hardware issue. However, the support here is limited to software troubleshooting. Since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
