HP ZBook 15u G5 Mobile Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I recently received a zbook 15u G5 (used). The SSD was stolen from it (at a laptop repair shop) so i replaced it with a Samsung 970 Evo NVMe M.2 SSD. A friend installed a new OS and the computer seems fine except that when  I play video (like from my Gopro or Mavic drone) it is not smooth, it is very choppy. When I look at the advanced display settings it says "connected to Microsoft basic display adaptor". I would have expected it to say "connected to Intel UHD Graphics 630" or something similar. It also says the refresh rate is 1.0 Hz. (my other laptop says "59.94 hz".

Do I need a driver that was on the  lost SSD that I just replaced to fix this problem? Please excuse my ignorance on this but looking for a little help.

Thank you.

Yes that definitely sounds like the right driver is not installed.

Drivers found at the link above. You might have Intel or AMD video. Can you find the device ID of the display adapter?
