my laptop is currently still in waranty and i had purchased it a year ago so i still have 2 months left of the purchase waranty.
i recently purchased a care pack for extension of my waranty for another year and after registration i got an email saying my email id has been validated and i have to wait for the carepack certificates now.
its been a month since i registered and hp has not yet extended my waranty nor has it sent the certificates.
i contacted customer support and after providing remote access to the representative i showed him the mail which was sent to me, but the representative kept on insisting on showing him the mails i sent, and the mail i had sent before i messaged support. and he said that we will give you certificates only after i show him the mail i sent previously, which seemed highly peculiar to me since i had registered a month back and there was no relation with the mail that i had sent today and my registration which i had done a month ago.
he refused to elaborate what the issue was and kept on insisting on seeing my mails and that i provide remote access and that he will show me what is wrong.
could someone help me out.
i just want to know that was this behaviour normal from the representative and wheter since i registered for the care pack before the expiration of old waranty does it make my new carepack invalid. and if it was mentioned it was going to be an extension of my old waranty, how much time does it take to show up and what other things i could do to escalate my issue to higher authorities.
thank you
