Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i would like to install a SSD disk in my computer but only the hdd cn1700 slot is available. Is there any adapter available to install ssd on it? is it wise?

 

My laptop are 14-cm0822no

Yeah it is a SATA 3 connection. If you are just using it as extra storage a hard drive is likely good enough but you will get the full speed out of a SATA 2.5 inch SSD. 

 

Continue to use the original M.2 NVME SSD as the bootdisk.

Specs say your laptop was made with a 256 gig NVME M.2 SSD. 

 

If you want to install ANOTHER SSD, 2.5 inch size then you need these parts to attach it inside the laptop:

 

(1) Hard drive cover L23219-001
(2) Hard drive cable L23187-001

Inside looks like this:

 

red arrow points to M.2 SSD; green thing is HDD or 2.5 inch SSDred arrow points to M.2 SSD; green thing is HDD or 2.5 inch SSD

one more thing, is hard drive cover necessary if you install ssd?
