zd8000 is more like 2009 or so. Here is the Service Manual:

Manual

The series started out as a Socket 775 Pentium 4 machine but I believe by the end of the run, with a BIOS update you could actually use Core2 Duo processors in it and it could take up to 4 gigs of RAM and run 64 bit Windows. The model numbers ran up into the zd8400 range, if I recall. They are enormous machines which are essentially desktop computers in a laptop case but lots of room in there so easy to disassemble and work on.

There should be a tag on the bottom with the full model number. The Manual does not really describe the later versions very well. It is a pretty rare beast, you do not see very many of them.

Do you have any more specific model number? On some it is 2 gigs and others 4 gigs.

That part number is not bringing up any response. 8 gigs will not work in any version of the zd8000, maximum memory on some models is 4 gigs total and some of the later models could use Core 2 Duo processors and 4 gigs RAM with a BIOS update but we need to know the correct Product or Model number.
