Hello

I have a 255 G8 notebook and want to upgrade the ssd to a larger capacity 512 Gb , what type of ssd should I get?

 You should have no problems to upgrade to a 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD. Your service manual (page 2) indicates a 1 TB M.2 NVMe is offered.

You can get an M.2 NVMe SSD gen 3x4 2280, something like this.

Your service manual (page 33) describes how to install/replace M.2 NVMe drives.
