Hi,
I want to upgrademy device with a new SSD.
Which one is compatible& the BEST for my device?
Product Specifications:

You're very welcome.
I do not see a M.2 slot on your notebook's motherboard (as I expected), and the guy from Samsung is wrong.
The M.2 slot would only take SATA drives if one existed.
If you want a 500 GB Samsung SSD, then you need this 2.5" one, and you would have to remove the existing hard drive and install the Samsung SSD.

Hi:
I don't believe the 15-ayXXX models that did not come with a M.2 drive from HP, have the M.2 slot.
If you already know that yours has a M.2 slot, then the slot only supports SATA drives, not NVMe.
That is indicated in chapter 1 of the service manual.
If you look at chapter 3 of the service manual, additional parts are required to add a M.2 slot to the motherboard.

So...If you want to upgrade to a SSD--either by replacing the 2.5" drive with a 2.5" SSD, or your notebook does indeed have the M.2 slot already there, then this would be the best SATA SSD for performance and price...500 GB...
This is the M.2 equivalent...

You're very welcome.
No, the notebook model series does not support NVMe drives--even if they have a M.2 slot.
Chapter 1, top of page 3 in the service manual link I posted earlier.
M.2 SATA-3 configurations
● 256 GB
● 128 GB

@Paul_Tikkanen Thanks a lot for your help.
please see the attached photos of Samsung official site technical support regarding the previous SSDs.
Thanks again, and I appreciate your help.
And I asked again just to make sure.

Thank you so much @Paul_Tikkanen, you saved me 🙂
Actually, I was a little bit confused because @Old_geekster recommended this SSD:
in here:
Eventually, I'll go with the option you provided me with.
Thanks again to both of you!
Take Care..

You're very welcome.
On some models such as yours, you have to open it up and confirm that there is a M.2 slot.
You cannot just go with what the manual indicates.
If I had a dollar for everyone that was told that their notebook had a M.2 slot, and then opened it up and found out that it doesn't, I'd have quite a bankroll.

One other thing...
The Samsung 860 M.2 SATA SSD is no faster than the Samsung 860 2.5" SSD.
Whoever told you that was also incorrect.
Here are the specs on both...
M.2:
The 860 EVO performs at sequential read speeds up to 550 MB/s* with Intelligent TurboWrite technology, and sequential write speeds up to 520 MB/s.
2.5":
The 860 EVO performs at sequential read speeds up to 550 MB/s* with Intelligent TurboWrite technology, and sequential write speeds up to 520 MB/s.
Same-same.
