HP Notebook - 15-ra008nx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my device have this windows version (1803) installed by the PC store when I bought which seem to me the only supported version for my device , yes there are was some compatible drivers problems but it gets resolved by both HP and Microsoft . so all driver for windows 1803 can be installed and I can see them in the Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features .

when I update to windows version 1809 then I’ve been notching incompatible drivers issues yet again and I can not to see all installed HP drivers either .

and some of hp drivers can not be installed on windows v 1809 https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/an-issue-to-install-a-HP-drivers-via-...

and right now I want to update to Microsoft windows OS (version 1903) to see if this will solve any of the  incompatible HP’s drivers issues but this can not be done because of windows keeps showing two different message every time when I check for windows update .

the first screenshot is taken from the web not by me .

new-windows-update-rollout-arrow-1007928

the others screenshot are taken by me.

so , Microsoft to offering this windows version (1903) to me to download and install then another message says that 1903 of windows isn’t quit ready for my device ? so why all those confusing messages

and what is the supported windows version that should I Install and which windows edition version should I install on my device (e.g windows home edition or other version) ?

While I have not bumped into that message, it could be that there are some updates that need to be installed first.  If you go here

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media" and follow the directions.  Use that new media to then upgrade the PC.  Boot the PC and then load the Windows 10 media while in Windows.  If the PC can support the new version, it will check for the needed updates and then go ahead with the update.

Hi, @Gt-truth

Unless I am missing something, I don't see your notebook's model series listed as supported for the latest build of W10.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05195282

I never wait for the update to be pushed to my PC's.

I click on the blue Update Now link on the media creation tool link that TheOldMan posted.

I have HP notebooks as old as from 2007 running the latest build of W10 (1903), and they work fine.

I only have one HP notebook that is listed as compatible on that list, out of 4.

There aren't any W10 drivers for those three.

I have done the same thing with my HP desktop PC's the newest is from 2011.

Hi @Paul_Tikkanen

yes , you are right on this ! my notebook’s make and model series isn’t listed in any articles on any HP’s websites or webpages 😞 even thought there are information for Windows 10 known issues on this hp page https://support.hp.com/us-en/topic/windows-10-support-center-computing

however , I can not see my notebook’s make and model series listed within the tables either https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05195282#AbT8

not even here https://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/CloudRecovery/crsupportedplatform.html

this device I have were made in 2017 as I think and I have bought it in 2018 as well ! 🙂

windows10 known issues for version 1903 https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-information/status-windows-10-1903

I upgrade to windows v1903 and I’ve noticed it function /working slower then windows v1809 (start up program now taking a bit longer to showing up there and even by opening a software’s from the desktop) not sure what the cause but when I done of install the v 1903 , windows have not find any new drivers for windows version (1903) and nor HP Support Assistant 🙂 yes there was a new version update of the HP Support Assistant available on the latest version of windows which is (windows v 1903)

so how make my HP Support Assistant to installing all drivers for my windows version 1903 ?

I’ve following with @OldMan reply and now I’m back to post here 🙂

Hi:

I'm surprised that the notebook is running differently with the new build.

Did you update the chipset and thermal dynamic drivers to the latest versions on your notebook's support page?

Hi:

You want the latest drivers on the support page...if there are multiple drivers of the same name, you want the ones labeled Braswell.

I already gave you the 3 most important ones...chipset and graphics.

Check your model wifi adapter and see if there are v1903 wifi and Bluetooth drivers.

HP Recommended

Yes, those are the right ones...
