Hp Pavilion G7-1150US

Hello everyone,

I wanna upgrade the HP Pavilion G7-1150US Ram to 8GB, because the current memory went bad.

I accidentally ordered

Crucial 4GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM  CT51264BF160B 2 sticks

Crucial recommended this for the laptop, but i accidentally ordered the DDR3L/PC3L version.
will it work?

Hi:

Although that is the memory recommended, normally it will not work in a notebook with an Intel 1st generation core processor.

The reason I believe, is because the memory can't go back two clock speeds and is a higher density than what is supported in your notebook.

The fastest memory you can install is DDR3-1333 which will bridge to 1066 MHz.

The memory bar should also have 8 little black chips on each side of the circuit board, not 4.

Something like this...

A-Tech 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1333MHz PC3-10600 CL9 SODIMM 204-Pin Non-ECC SO-DIMM Laptop, Notebook RAM Me...

or this? especially this, I think Samsung wouldn't be bad to trust.

Yes, a pair of either one of those chips should be fine.

HP uses both Samsung and Hynix memory in their notebooks.

Depends on what they have on hand at the time the PC is being manufactured.

Thank you!

Before I mark the answer as solution, there was another quick question I wanted to ask if you don't mind. since you know the laptop model already, my battery has also failed since its an old laptop, and I'm trying to get it into working condition.

Would this battery work?

https://www.amazon.de/593553-001-593554-001-593562-001-636631-001-Pavilion/dp/B01LXARWZQ/ref=mp_s_a_...

and is there a way to buy an original hp battery or have they been discontinued? (in Germany, preferably)

Current battery that failed is HP - MU06 | HSTNN-IB0X.

You're very welcome.

Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook.

HP PartSurfer

The battery part number and description is:

593553-001
Battery (Primary) - 6-cell lithium-Ion (Li-Ion), 2.2Ah, 47Wh (MU06047)

HP no longer sells the battery, so the only suggestion I can offer would be to do a search by the above battery part number on eBay.de or Amazon.de and find a compatible aftermarket battery that references that part number.
