ZBook 15 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I performed a clean install for Windows 10 on a ZBook 15 G2.  I installed the drivers from HP. The issue is the hotkeys to change the brightness does not work, however, all other hotkey functions work just fine.

For me the solution was (after hours of searching) to change the keyboard dirver to Standard PS/2 instead of the 101/102-key driver. Reboot and done.

Hope this will help some more!

Hi Admin_Andy

My I ask how to switch from the 101/102 driver to the Standard PS/2 driver, please?
Is there a command line to be used for a silent switch?

Regards

I resolved this issue on Windows 10 1903 by changing the monitor driver from PnP-Monitor (Standard) to Generic PnP Monitor:

  • Right Click the Windows Start Menu icon
  • Device Manager
  • Open Monitors
  • Right Click the monitor shown (it was PnP-Monitor (Standard) for me)
  • Click Update Driver
  • Browse My Computer
  • Let me pick from a list...
  • Click Generic PnP Monitor
  • Next
  • Close

Note that I had already installed the Hot Key drivers from the HP support site, so you may need those as well.
