Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,
Since +/-  December 2019 I had to recover my Notebook after Windows 10 Update, and saw then alle the time, that the AMD Driver 2019.xxx was deleted and reset to a 2017.xxx driver. Since last week I could not reset to an earllier date, due to a Windows Update. So I refreshed my Laptop and have since then the problem, that it is really really slow, and often it has breaks of a second. Can click on something and it needs time to get the mouse on the right spot. Sites loading shows too that there is every 2 seconds a break of a second.

What I tryed already:

Mallwarescan. (Nothing found)

SFC Scannow

DISM / Cleanup Health restore

Registery cleaner

Bios new installed (Seems not to work very well... Get not the real HP Diagnostic site)
Drivers updated.

Driver taken of AMD site
There is enough space, but have deleted also more.

Since last year I have a ssd card.

Made the mouse quicker.

Looked for apps... deleted the most..

Closed all unnessary apps at the background.

Refreshed now 3 times my Laptop.

So what else can I do?

Is there a newer BIOS Update?

Welcome to HP support community.

Let's start with performing a hard reset on the PC to release any excessive static/power that could have caused the issue.

  • Turn off the computer.
  • Disconnect all external connected peripheral devices such as USB storage devices, external displays, and printers.
  • Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.
  • Press and hold down the Power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual electrical charge from the capacitors that protect the memory.
  • Press the Power button to turn on the computer.
  • If a startup menu opens, use the arrow keys to select Start Windows Normally, and then press the Enter key.

Second, you can check if there is Bios update available for your PC, here is the link to download.

Performing a test on the Hard drive as well as on the Memory from the Hardware diagnostics:

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.

  4. Click Extensive Test.

  5. Click Run once, or Loop until error.

While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component are shown on the screen. The test can take 2 or more hours to complete.

   NOTE:

If the diagnostics are not available when using the F2 menu, run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics from a USB drive. To download the latest version of the diagnostics, go to the HP Hardware Diagnostics website. For instructions, see Testing from an external USB device.

The best way to resolve the issue is by using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:

CLICK HERE FOR STEP BY STEP GUIDE (Scroll to the bottom for more options)

(simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).

I hope that helps.

Sandy, thanks very much for your replay.

I had a total crash last sunday, and reinstalled this time with a new Windows 10 stick. (After I started, from the Windows possibilty to start with an USB. Deleted settings, went for advanced. Luckily it kept in Windowsold.001 my old data, which I hadn't put on an extra participation. The extra Participations where fine.)

First the freezing was still there, even worse. It's funny to see, that Windows 10 is recovering by itselfs now. Get more times still a message of a new driver.

But see too, that acpi asd0001 2&daba3ff&0 driver is missing. What is that? Do you have a driver for my laptop?

Saw too, that the prossessor needed a lot space. I have a 500 ssd card installed last year, and had it cut in 3 participations. 275 GB =C  It had after the windows.old001 came on, only 30 GB left on C. I am cleaning that up, and the rest too. Since then it seems to work better. Now 118 GB free on C.

I am a bit worried about the dynamic  memory (fysieke geheugen). The hard device test was all the time fine. But I see, this one is often nearly full.. Can I do something to create more memory used by the system?

The Bios I had already new installed, but it's not really a new one...

Thanks ahead for Help

Kind regards Nicole

If you don't have an HP Recovery media and have attempted reset using the windows troubleshooter or a retail copy of windows, you'll need to order a recovery media: Click here for steps.

Or you may also attempt to download the same using the steps on this link: click here

I hope that helps.

HI Sandy,

I have reinstalled Windows 10 by Windows Media creation Tool, as the HP Recovery was deleted by a shop as they built in a 500 SSD Card and a 8 GB RAM.

I am sorry that you missed my biggest question. Will try to explain it again.

The  acpi asd0001 2&daba3ff&0 driver is missing. What is that? Which part of my computer needs that driver? As without knowing for what it is, I can not search on my computer for the exact driver.

I don't want to mess up with old drivers the other parts. Please give me a download link of the exact driver. I think it is an AMD Driver, but I don't want to install the AMD Program on my computer again, as AMD is one of the reasons of the troubles. Windows understood that already, and reinstalled the 2017 Driver ... as the 2019 Drivers make Problems with Windows. Also AMD saw already that big issues came.

So please give me just that one driver and tell me which computer part needs that driver, as Computerpart unknown is mentioned in the list.

Thanks ahead,

Kind regards,

Nicole

I saw a link on https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Driver-Missing-for-Microsoft-AC...

But that is a HP 14 and I have a HP 15 computer, so I am not sure, if I can download the same AMD driver.. Can I?

Thank you for posting back

ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) is an industry specification for the efficient handling of power consumption.
The responsibilities of Acpi. sys, include support for power management and Plug and Play (PnP) device enumeration.

To get the answer to this question, you can download drivers for HP 15 computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
