HP Notebook 15
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I am planning to upgrade my Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 using the process mentioned in this post: https://youtu.be/jrEZMDhf4Qw

Can it result in my laptop not working properly even if everything goes correctly? I have recently installed an SSD in place of the DVD drive, and it is causing my CPU to heat up a bit. Could it further worsen the condition or something?

Thanks.

Upgrade from Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 to Windows 10 entirely for free and using the official Microsoft web site. Web site where you can upgrade to Windows 10: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows 7. If you're still running Windows 7 ...

Can't tell because HP has millions of 15" notebooks. Just FYI, I updated my last 10 years old with Windows 7 machine few weeks ago (exactly on July 21, 2021) and I can't see the differences. Only one hiccup: it failed the first time due to security in BIOS but I updated BIOS and bingo.
