I am planning to upgrade my Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 using the process mentioned in this post: https://youtu.be/jrEZMDhf4Qw
Can it result in my laptop not working properly even if everything goes correctly? I have recently installed an SSD in place of the DVD drive, and it is causing my CPU to heat up a bit. Could it further worsen the condition or something?
Thanks.

Can't tell because HP has millions of 15" notebooks. Just FYI, I updated my last 10 years old with Windows 7 machine few weeks ago (exactly on July 21, 2021) and I can't see the differences. Only one hiccup: it failed the first time due to security in BIOS but I updated BIOS and bingo.
Regards.
