Hello everyone,
I'm trying to enable the Hyper-V on this laptop, both via command line on Windows 10 and the GUI.
In both cases I see "could not complete the operation" during the reboot and it finally rollback any modification.
Could this be due to the fact that this Laptop/CPU is not supporting this technology?
Thanks in advance

Which version of Windows 10 is installed?
Hyper-V only works in Windows 10 Professional, not on Windows 10 Home.

Have you enabled VT-x in the BIOS?
See the following link to a Microsoft web document that provides details on how to enable Hyper-V after you have enabled the feature in the BIOS.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/hyper-v-on-windows/quick-start/enable-hyper-v
For logs, use the Windows Event viewer.

Hi,
thank you for your suggestions, but VT-d and Vt-x are the first two things I've enabled after the first boot of my new laptop.
I also have followed all the steps you mentioned, but finally, during the reboot it says it could not complete the Hyper-V setup.
I have found something in the Event Viewer, but not sure it's related to that:

Have you tried the DISM method yet?
You can reinstall the Hyper-V environment as the log event you posted appears to impy that it is corrupt or missing.
See the MIcrosoft web document I provided a link to a couple of replies back.
It is also at the following web page. See the power shell comands for installing Hyper-V

That is weird. I will ask HP internally.
It may take some time to get an answer. In the interim you can use VirtualBox if you just have to have a virtual OS right now.

Thanks a lot mate!
I actually have VirtualBox installed, but I wanted to go for Hyper-V to install Docker (wich will exclude VirtualBox though).
Looking forward to hear from you soon! 🙂
By the way, I also checked the BIOS settings but I see no Hyper-V there.
